Ok so last Thursday, the day before before Guardian Higher Education is due to publish my blog, I get a call from the Editor. Not more edits? Not put off by another week? Well the bad news was they weren’t running it on the Friday – groan. The good news was that the Guardian Education section in the paper wanted to run an edited version, with a full version on the website – yey! So worth waiting for and I am very excited that it’s coming out tomorrow. Not that I’m comparing publishing with honorable members of the building trade, but publication dates are a moveable feast and I’m really not celebrating until I have the print version in hand and see the weblink. After all if it’s in a newspaper, it must be true and if it’s on the Internet, it’s doubly true – isn’t it?
